The University of Utah did some studies on sprouts they suggest for the highest nutition a blend of wheat, tritacle, mung bean, adzuki, peas, lentils, and fenugreek. Another great combo is alfalfa, red clover and radish. You can really start with any single grain or seed. Be sure you get the best quality you can such as organic. Be sure to avoid gentically modified grains and seeds if you can't get organic. You can find grains, and seeds at your local health food store or if you don't have one close check these great websites out:

I read the newsletter on Sprouting. What kind of grains, beans
or nuts can be used? Where do I buy the beans or grains to sprout? Can I use beans from the grocery store that need to be rehydrated? As you can tell I'm a novice!

I enjoy the newsletters and have learned much. Unfortunately, I'm in the Chicagoland area and can't attend your lectures.
